Notice of the Conclusion of the “CONTRUST” Public Beta

We hereby announce the scheduled end date for the public beta release of “CONTRUST,” a browser-based electronic contract application developed to help prevent copyright disputes following the sale of artworks in individual transactions.

The tool was created and released with the aim of making visible certain issues within Japan’s contemporary art industry, fostering smoother communication between artists and art collectors, and raising awareness of the importance of copyright. Since the open beta launch in July 2023, the platform has been used by a far greater number of participants than anticipated, and we extend our sincere gratitude for the support and feedback received.

Looking ahead, we plan to develop a new tool with a sharper focus on preventing everyday copyright-related disputes (release date to be determined). Updates will be shared on this website and through our social media channels. We look forward to your continued interest.
